FAQ

What is handpoke?

Handpoke is the ancient method of tattooing where a machine is not required. The needle is manually pushed into the skin causing minimum damage, therefore making them generally less painful and quicker to heal.

How to be prepared for getting your tattoo

It is very important to prepare for your new tattoo as this could affect the result of needing a touch up and for your own comfort. I have the right to refuse to tattoo you if the following guidelines are not followed:

- Have a good night's rest.
- Stay hydrated.
- Do not consume alcohol or drugs before your appointment.
- Eat something before getting to the studio.
- Moisturise the area that you will be getting tattooed every day for two weeks before your appointment (especially for finger or toe tattoos). This will ensure the best result possible.
- Do not use sun beds or self tanner before your appointment. I cannot tattoo sunburnt skin.

You won't be able to get tattooed if:

- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
